Version 1.0. Please read these before joining a table.

What Table Stakes is

Table Stakes provides introductions and coordination. Members make their own reservations, attend voluntarily, and pay the restaurant directly. The service is a facilitator of introductions, not a host, chaperone, or event organizer. Tables are not staffed, conversations are not monitored, and no one takes responsibility for what happens between members before, during, or after a gathering.

Who can use it

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must be a current member of one of Arlan Hamilton's communities.
  • You must provide truthful information and use a real photo of yourself.
  • You may not create more than one account, or use the service on behalf of anyone else.

Restaurants and payment

  • Each group votes on a restaurant, and the reservation is confirmed with the restaurant once votes are in.
  • You are responsible for your own food, drinks, tax, tip, and any deposits or cancellation fees the restaurant may charge.
  • Ask for separate checks. Table Stakes does not process or collect any restaurant payments.
  • Table Stakes is not responsible for restaurant service, food quality, availability, or any dispute with the restaurant.

Your responsibilities

  • Follow the Code of Conduct at every gathering.
  • Arrive on time or let your group know as early as possible if you cannot attend.
  • Use your own transportation. Never rely on another member for a ride home.
  • Meet only at the public restaurant on your dinner card. Do not pressure members to move to a private location.
  • Trust your instincts. You can leave any gathering, at any time, for any reason.

Verification and background checks

Community membership is verified. When identity verification is enabled, identity is verified through a third-party provider. Criminal background checks are not performed and no representations are made about the background of any member. Meet with care.

Enforcement

Any account that violates these terms or the Code of Conduct — or raises safety concerns — may be paused or permanently removed by Arlan, with or without explanation.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." No match, specific restaurant, availability, or positive outcome from any gathering is guaranteed. Arlan is not liable for the actions of members, restaurants, or third parties. You participate at your own risk.

Changes

When these terms are materially updated, the version is bumped and you're asked to re-accept the next time you sign in.
