Four friends laughing together over dinner at a cozy restaurant table — three women and one man, mid-conversation.

Let’s make room
for each other.

There are so many people in my ecosystem who haven’t met each other yet. I wanted to create a reason to step away from our screens, sit down over dinner, and get to know someone new.

On October 30, tables of four will gather in different places around the world. Everyone comes in as an equal — no hierarchy, nobody in charge. If someone volunteers to handle the reservation and welcome everyone, they’re lending a hand, not running the table. Bring your curiosity, your stories, and your whole self.

This is the way I’m celebrating my 46th birthday this year: making space for more connection. I hope you’ll pull up a chair.

The shape of good company

Different perspectives. Equal seats.

Small table.
Big possibilities.

Four is the sweet spot — big enough for real range in perspectives, small enough that every voice fits in one conversation. It's also practical: most restaurants find it harder to seat a party larger than four.

Table Stakes aims for groups of four whenever possible, and groups of three when local participation is lower.

Everyone participates equally. Everyone pays their own way.

A little less planning.
A lot more connection.

03

Meet your table.

You're matched with three other members at a table of four. Vote on three restaurant choices; the first eligible volunteer makes the reservation.

04

Show up and connect.

Everyone pays for themselves. Arlan provides the topic, conversation guide, and reminders.

Table Stakes provides introductions and coordination. Members make their own reservations, attend voluntarily, and pay the restaurant directly.
