How it works

A thoughtful gathering, quietly organized on your behalf.

Here is what happens between the moment you sign up and the moment you sit down.

  1. 01

    Register for the date

Everything happens on one day — Friday, October 30, 2026, for dinner. Register with your availability, spending range, and any dietary or accessibility needs.

  2. 02

    You're matched nearby

You're matched with three other members using your chosen dinner location, travel radius, and practical preferences. Tables have four people. Exact locations are never shared.

  3. 03

    Reconfirm attendance

Before the group is revealed, everyone reconfirms. You only see the final group once everyone has said they can attend.

  4. 04

    Meet your table

Receive your dinner location, time, and the conversation guide. Tablemate profiles and member communication stay closed until after dinner; introductions happen in person.

  5. 05

    Vote on a restaurant

You'll have 48 hours to vote on three researched restaurant choices suited to your table's location and shared budget. Everyone votes equally; ties are settled by best fit. The first eligible volunteer receives the booking request and confirms the reservation directly.

  6. 06

    Show up and connect

A short conversation topic is provided. A volunteer table host can welcome everyone and start introductions. Hosting is optional; everyone participates equally and pays their own way.

  7. 07

    Share your testimonial

After the gathering, share your testimonial. Optionally request to reconnect with someone from the table.

Table Stakes helps members of Arlan’s communities connect for independently attended, in-person gatherings.

Table Stakes does not verify government identification, conduct criminal background checks, authenticate every statement in a member’s profile, or guarantee the identity, conduct, intentions, qualifications, or safety of any participant.

Although participation is limited to people who appear to have access to an eligible Arlan community, community membership is not a safety screening or endorsement.

By participating, you understand that meeting people in person involves ordinary risks. You are responsible for deciding whether to attend, protecting your personal information, arranging your own transportation, paying your own expenses, and leaving any situation that makes you uncomfortable.

All official gatherings must take place in public commercial venues. Never meet a Table Stakes match for the first time at a private home, hotel room, vehicle, or isolated location.

Call local emergency services if you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger.
